Position:  

Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall vision, mission and mandates of the company.

  • Help maintain overall team organization.

  • Help manage the social impact efforts to measure, improve and share the impact the company has on the lives of our tenants and the broader community. 

  • Cultivate and manage partnerships with top tier foundations.

  • Develop recommendations and strategies to further improve impact.

  • Project management.

  • Support with event logistics and execution for social impact campaigns.

  • Identify, secure, and manage relationships and partnerships that further the company’s impact and goals.

  • Create and execute marketing materials that encompass metrics and initiatives collectively and individually. 

  • Ensure projects and assignments are completed within budget. 

  • Draft and/or oversee the development of presentations and messaging for investors.

  • Oversee events and programs for I Can Foundation.

  • Support the Director of Social Impact with development and implementation of the SoLa Tech Center.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Project and team management experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience leading social impact initiatives is highly desired.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Well-developed organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience working with foundations and government representatives.

  • A strong work ethic with willingness to "roll up sleeves" and do whatever it takes. 

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. 

  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker.

  • Some experience working with low-income communities is not required, but is preferred. 

 

About our company:

SoLa Impact acquires and rehabs buildings in Los Angeles, providing desperately needed quality housing to lower income communities. Our underlying premise has been to offer attractive apartments to “good, hard-working families that want a safe place for their kids.” In addition, a large percentage of SoLa’s tenants are veterans, single mothers, disabled, or formerly homeless citizens whose rents are partially subsidized. SoLa helps connects tenants and their children with programs to assist them with security deposits, move-in expenses, career counseling and on-going life management skills by partnering with over a dozen programs.

 

The SoLa I CAN! was developed to inspire South Los Angeles youth to see possibility and opportunity in their lives and strive to achieve academic and personal success. The program introduces youth to people, places and opportunities they would not normally or easily experience in their daily lives.
